David Barker

Director

David is a Director at WW Martin Ltd with overall responsibility for the design and technical coordination of projects from appointment through to completion. He provides clear leadership across the company’s technical functions, ensuring design activities are effectively managed and aligned with project requirements.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, David began his career as a Management Trainee with a civils-based contractor, developing a strong grounding in site engineering, site management, procurement and surveying. He later progressed into senior procurement roles with both regional and national contractors, gaining broad experience across all types of construction.

At WW Martin, David leads the in-house technical team and maintains oversight of design development, approvals and coordination. Working closely with clients, consultant teams and supply chain partners, he ensures design solutions are robust, compliant and deliverable, supporting high standards of quality and consistency across the business.

Neil Benwell

Director

Neil was appointed to the Board of Directors at WW Martin Ltd in October 2025, following 14 years with the company. He provides Board-level oversight of estimating and pre-construction activities, bringing extensive experience across single-stage, two-stage and negotiated procurement routes.

Neil leads the estimating and pre-construction function and plays a key role in shaping how projects are developed prior to construction. His detailed understanding of construction methodology and risk supports the preparation of robust, buildable proposals and informs realistic project strategies across the business.

As a central point of contact for clients and key stakeholders during the pre-construction stage, Neil’s construction knowledge and professional approach support effective collaboration with consultant teams and supply chain partners. Through this role, he makes a significant contribution to the consistency, quality and success of projects delivered by the business.

Trevor Codd

Director

Trevor joined WW Martin Ltd in 2015 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in October 2017. As a Director, he holds a central role in the leadership of the business through his responsibility for the delivery of construction activities on site.

With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Trevor began his career as an apprentice bricklayer and progressed through site-based and management roles to senior leadership positions. This depth of practical experience underpins his authority at Board level and informs his approach to construction delivery.

At WW Martin, Trevor has overall accountability for how construction works are planned, coordinated and delivered from commencement through to completion. Through this role, he directly influences standards of safety, quality and performance and plays an instrumental part in the company’s ability to deliver projects consistently and successfully across the business.

Ben Green

Director

Ben was appointed to the Board of Directors at WW Martin Ltd in October 2025, having joined the business in 2016. He contributes to the strategic leadership and long-term growth of the company.

With over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, he supports the identification and securing of new work, including the development and management of strategic client framework agreements, alongside the building of long-term client relationships.

Ben has responsibility for business development, bid management and company communications. He also oversees the continual improvement of the company’s Integrated Management System, accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Doug Mumford

Director

Doug is a Director at WW Martin Ltd with overall responsibility for the company’s commercial operations. He provides leadership across all quantity surveying activities, playing a central role in safeguarding financial performance and supporting the successful delivery of projects across the business.

With over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry, Doug has worked across a wide range of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, residential and refurbishment. He brings extensive knowledge of construction contracts and a strong understanding of commercial risk, informed by long-standing experience at both project and business level.

At WW Martin, Doug leads the quantity surveying teams across all projects, ensuring consistent commercial standards, effective cost control and robust financial governance. Working closely with project teams, supply chain partners and clients, he promotes disciplined commercial management and value-led decision-making, making an essential contribution to the performance and sustainability of the business.
