Command of the Oceans wins National RIBA Award 2017

The striking new visitor building and visitor entrance at the Chatham Historic Dockyard successfully delivered by WW Martin last year has won a National RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) 2017 Award.

This award adds to a growing list of awards the project has won and is testament to the hard work and expertise of the team.

The project architect, Alan Mitchell, Director of Baynes and Mitchell Architects said about the regional awards, “We feel extremely honoured to have received these awards for Command of the Oceans from the RIBA. They reflect the passion, effort and support of the whole design, client and building team throughout the process – from a tiny initial sketch to a beautiful, completed project we are all proud of.”

This highly coveted National RIBA Award follows the success of the project at the South East Regional Awards were the project also won; RIBA South East Award 2017, RIBA South East Conservation Award 2017, and RIBA South East Building of the Year 2017
