Entry Requirements

Programme Details
You will be based in WWM Civils office in Ramsgate, and enrolled with EKC Training, part of East Kent Colleges Group. The course typically takes 18 months to complete.
On successful completion, you will earn the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.
The Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and structured support.
Every 8 to 10 weeks, there will be reviews involving you, your trainer, and your line manager or mentor to assess progress and address any areas for improvement.
You will participate in online workshops to enhance your theoretical understanding. Additionally, there may be occasional in-person workshops held at EKC Canterbury College.

This apprenticeship is suitable for anyone interested in a career as a bricklayer.
You will learn to lay bricks, blocks, and other building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures.
You will also gain experience in refurbishing brickwork and masonry for restoration projects.
You will work on a variety of sites and projects, including commercial developments, new housing builds, extensions, and restorations.

Programme Details
As a Bricklaying Apprentice, you will be enrolled with East Kent Colleges Group.
Your schedule will include four days a week gaining hands-on experience on site with East Kent Brickwork and one day a week attending college for structured learning.
On successful completion, you will earn the Level 2 Bricklayer qualification.
You will attend scheduled workshop sessions at college during term time, complemented by regular workplace-based training.
You will also have routine progress reviews with your Line Manager. An Apprenticeship Trainer will provide on-site support through regular visits, offering guidance and monitoring your development.

Preparation of Materials: How to assess the quality and quantities of building materials, including the correct mix ratios for mortar and concrete.
Safe Working: The importance of health and safety legislation and codes of practice, applying safe working practices on site.
Working Area: Selecting appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for setting out and constructing new brickwork.
Masonry Structures: Expertise in erecting various masonry structures, including:
This apprenticeship course is for people who want to gain a vocational qualification in civil engineering, while gaining industry experience.
You will learn a host of skills including concreting, excavation activities, levelling and setting out, as well as the process involved in basic project management and key health and safety legislation.
You will gain comprehensive practical experience in the featured categories of training.
