From The Knees Of My Nose To The Belly Of My Toes
WW Martin is very proud to be a part of this very ambitious
art piece. Alex Chinneck had begun his
journey with this project with the idea of the front wall of a four storey
house peeling away from the main structure.
Thanet District Council gave Alex the permission to use an
empty property in Godwin Road, Cliftonville, Kent. The project represents a unique collaboration
between UK Industry and British sculpture. The beginning of construction follows a twelve-month campaign undertaken
by the artist to realise his self-initiated £100,000 project, which has been
made possible by ten companies who have donated materials, manufacturing
capabilities and professional services required to build the sliding
facade.

"I am extremely grateful for the
support and generosity WW Martin have extended to me throughout this
project. Where most companies would
avoid the challenges this artwork presented, Martins embraced and overcome
them. I would particularly like to thank
Chris Walker for his immediate belief and continued commitment to the project. Without his passion and professionalism this
project would have struggled to exist."
