Project News - First new homes at Melbourne Avenue, Ramsgate are handed over to client

The first of the new homes at our affordable housing development at Melbourne Avenue, Ramsgate have been handed over to our client, Orbit Homes.

When complete, the development, marketed as Poppy Fields by Orbit, will provide 55 new homes offering a mix of 2-, 3- and 4-bed properties, regenerating the site of the former Newington School which sat empty for number of years following the school's move to the adjacent site.

The scheme was recently shortlisted for a Constructing Excellence SECBE award in the 'Sustainability Project of the Year' category, celebrating our use of innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions and limit environmental impact both during construction and throughout the operational lifecycle of the buildings, proving that it is possible for affordable housing to achieve and even surpass environmental standards.

We look forward to welcoming the arrival of the first residents to the development.
