Ramsgate FC win the first leg of the WW Martin Cup 1-0 away against Margate FC

The action got underway on Saturday 9th July as Ramsgate FC v Margate FC went head to head. Supporters of the two local clubs turned out in force to watch the first leg of the WW Martin Cup in the testing wind at Hartsdown Park, Margate.

Whilst it is still early in the season, the two teams played well in what was a close encounter. Both teams had a number of chances to score but it was Tom Loynes for Ramsgate FC who scored the only goal of the game to give them a narrow 1-0 advantage to take back to the Southwood Stadium for the 2nd leg on the 29th July.
