WW Martin become major sponsor of Kent County Cricket Club

Kent construction company WW Martin is the latest major sponsor of Kent Cricket.

In recognition of their support, the Kent-based firm’s logo will appear on the club’s Royal London One-Day Cup shirts from 2017.

Established in 1877, WW Martin will be celebrating 140 years in business next year. The Kent-based construction company had an annual turnover of £36million in 2015-16.

WW Martin has recently delivered a number of successful new developments including The Yarrow, a training hotel for East Kent College, a new visitor building at the Chatham Historic Dockyard, a multi-million pound Bus Depot for Stagecoach in Herne Bay and new beachfront homes in Margate.

Neil Peck, WW Martin Director, said: “We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of Kent County Cricket Club. As a regular visitor to the Club, by becoming a major sponsor it provides us with the perfect opportunity to increase and formalise our support of Kent Cricket.

"As 2017 will mark our 140th year as a Kent-based company, we are very excited to be supporting Kent Cricket.

"We are already looking forward to next season and would like to wish all the players, staff and supporters of Kent Cricket the very best wishes for a successful 2017 and beyond.”

Kent Cricket CEO Jamie Clifford said: "I am delighted to welcome WW Martin as our latest major sponsor for the 2017 season.

“They are a proud Kent company that has stood the test of time – being just seven years younger than the county club.

“I look forward to working with them in the coming years and am sure they will enjoy the partnership and see real benefits for their business."

The Royal London One-Day Cup will take place in May and June this year with a Lord’s final in July.
