A very special event at Manston Airport with Ramsgate FC

As partners of Ramsgate Football Club, we were thrilled to support a truly special event at Manston

Thanks to the generous support of Helix Av, Polar Helicopters, and Riveroak Strategic Partners Ltd, 450 local children aged 4-11 had the unforgettable experience of a helicopter flight over Thanet.

For many, it was their very first time in the air, with one excited boy exclaiming, “It was amazing – it looked just like Google Earth!”

Following their flights, the children enjoyed a tour of the nearby Raf Manston History Museum, where volunteers provided guided tours of the aircraft on display.

These children were all participants in Ramsgate FC’s Active Education Foundation Holiday Activities and Food summer programme, which takes place across various local venues including the Club’s own WW Martin Community Stadium. The programme offers a safe and engaging environment for local children to socialise and promotes the importance of health and fitness throughout the holidays.
