Announcing Academy FM 107.8 as one of our 2026 charity partners

We are pleased to announce Academy FM 107.8 Thanet as one of our charity partners for 2026.

As the Isle of Thanet’s community radio station and a registered charity, Academy FM plays an important role in supporting local connection and engagement across the area.

The station helps people share their stories, stay connected and feel part of the community, contributing to reduced isolation through accessible local broadcasting.

Academy FM also provides opportunities for volunteers to build confidence, develop practical skills and gain valuable experience, supporting people to explore a shared interest in broadcasting, within a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Through its focus on local storytelling, the station celebrates Thanet, its people, events and community spirit, helping to strengthen pride in the place many of us live and work.
