WW Martin employ 2 new Apprentices.
We are very pleased to announce that we have signed up
two more apprentices. Charlie Keen, who is studying plastering and Tom Fleet,
who is in his 2nd year of Carpentry.
Charlie and Tom join our other
current apprentice Jack Clemo who has been with WW Martin since
September 2015 and works within our special projects team under Richard
Justice. He has just started his third year of Carpentry.
As
a longstanding Kent business with a history that traces back to 1877, we remain
a traditional builder in so far as we are committed to creating opportunities
for people to enter the industry. We are advocates of employing a number of
apprentices directly so that we can play our part in creating the ‘future
workforce’ of the industry. It also means that we are not solely
reliant on our supply chain to take on the employment responsibility of an
apprentice.
Our
work with apprentices has helped our business grow, with many of our
apprentices playing a valuable role in our activities both within our office
and out on site. Apprentices at WW Martin work on ‘live’ projects
under the supervision of our senior staff so that they can develop their skills
and realise their potential.
