Celebrating our apprentices for this year's National Apprentice Week
We would like to celebrate this years National Apprenticeship Week with an update on our current and recent apprentices.
- Dan is approaching the end of his second year as a carpentry apprentice with us. He has been with WW Martin since September 2021 and has become an integral member of our team. Last year, Dan was named winner of the Construction Apprentice of the Year category at the East Kent Apprenticeship Awards (EKAA) with the judges describing him as an apprentice who showed the skills, determination, and an exemplary attitude to progress his career in construction.
- Maison has now almost completed his first year with us. A very popular member of our Special Projects team, he has been busy gaining experience across a range of sectors and projects.
- Josh, a key member of staff in our Technical Support team, has recently completed his Business Administration apprenticeship. Josh, who was a finalist In the Business Management Apprentice category in the EKAA, was awarded a Distinction as his overall final grading.
As a business we are passionate about creating opportunities in the construction industry through our own Employment, Apprenticeship and Training Programme. Our achievements were recognised at the EKAA with our HR Manager Angela Gardiner winning the overall East Kent Apprentice Champion award and WW Martin named as finalist in the Private Sector Business of the Year category.
For any further information about upcoming apprenticeships or opportunities in the business, please contact Angela on hr@wwmartin.co.uk
