Children from Ightham Primary School visit our Ightham Mote site
Last week we were delighted to welcome a group of children from Ightham Primary School to our Ightham Mote site, where we are constructing a new visitor reception and retail shop for the National Trust.
The children were very excited to get dressed into hi-vis vests and hard hats, before being given a tour of the site by our Senior Contracts Manager Andy Hyde. Most of the children had never been on a building site before, and they asked lots of interesting and insightful questions about what they could see happening around them.
Once the tour was complete, our site staff were treated to an amazing performance by the school choir - singing a selection of show tunes within the timber frame of the new building, currently being erected under a protective tent structure.
After the performance the children returned to the café for a warming hot chocolate. We were very happy to give each child an Easter egg to thank them for such a wonderful concert!
