Contract Award - Age UK, Herne Bay

Following the successful attainment of planning permission to extend the Age UK Centre at Herne Bay, we are very pleased to have been appointed to undertake the construction works on behalf of Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable.

With works commencing on site shortly, we will be working closely with Clague Architects, who have designed the scheme to meet the Age UK project brief.

The architect impression shown here* helps to highlight the proposals for the two-storey extension to the existing centre. With large windows and central light-wells, the project will create a fresh interior environment to suit the needs of Age UK and their guests with an exciting new timber and zinc clad external facade.

When complete, the scheme will be vital to Age UK in helping to support the increasing needs of local older people in Herne Bay and Whitstable by offering additional day care facilities and further office accommodation for rent to local charities and community groups, the revenue from which contributes to support the running of the Charity.
