Contract Award – Folkestone College redevelopment
We are delighted to have been awarded an exciting new contract to deliver a large-scale campus redevelopment at the existing Folkestone College site. The scheme aims to create exciting state-of-the-art facilities for the college, enhancing the learning experience of students and increasing the college’s presence within the town.
Following the recent detailed planning approval, we will commence construction works on site soon, beginning work to deliver a striking new teaching block and campus reception building.
The project which has been designed by Lee Evans Architects will see the new college buildings provide a stronger, more unified frontage on Shorncliffe Road, providing high quality teaching facilities that consider the exacting requirements of the college and the courses on offer.
The new buildings will be integrated into the existing buildings via a link-way, with the overall appearance and layout sympathetically designed to match the surrounding red brick Victorian buildings.
When complete, the new buildings will provide East Kent College with excellent modern facilities to deliver high quality further education to over 1,000 full and part time students in the Folkestone and Hythe District.
