Contract Award - Thanet District Council Phase 3

The works are for the redevelopment of two sites, Kings Street and Sussex Street in Ramsgate, to provide 26 new residential properties on land historically used for blocks of garages.

The demolition at Kings Street was completed in May 2017 with the plans to provide a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom flats and a terrace of four 2-bedroom new houses.

The works to Sussex Street include a mix of 3-bedroom semi-detached dwellings and six 2-bedroom flats.

The redevelopment will provide much needed housing and prevent further vandalism and fly tipping on the under-used sites.

All homes will meet the HCA Design Standard and Lifetime Homes standards to provide accessible and convenient accommodation for a wide range of the population, from households with young children to older people, and individuals with temporary or permanent physical or sensory impairment.
