Gomez 4 - Project Progress

Works are progressing well at our Gomez 4 site, with the steel frame now erected, the building of the new multi-million project is taking shape.

Last week on site saw the Tandem Lift of the large girder truss in to position. In the Tandem Lift the two cranes lifted the girder truss onto the pre-assembled steel frame, this was a complex operation requiring incredible skill and planning to ensure its success and the safety of everyone involved.

Now we have completed this milestone in the programme, our next activities on site will be the installation of concrete floor planks.

The new facility forms part of the existing factory complex and when all works are complete, it will provide significant new warehouse space including new state of the art cold stores, ripening rooms, packing stores, loading bays, locker rooms and staff facilities for Gomez, one of the country's largest independent produce companies, servicing both the leading supermarkets and non-multiple customers.
