​Inspiring the Next Generation at Hartsdown Academy

We were very pleased to attend the ‘Big Dreams’ careers event at Hartsdown Academy, Margate – a very well-attended day that welcomed students from across the school.

This event had particular significance for us: Ben Smith, Manager of Ramsgate Football Club – with whom we are proud partners – is also the Deputy Head at Hartsdown, and our Director, Ian Posnett, is a former pupil of the school.

We were delighted to speak with students about the wide range of careers available in construction, as well as the many opportunities offered through our well-established Employment, Apprenticeship and Training Programme (EATP).

Nigel Knight, Outreach and Careers Co-ordinator at Hartsdown, said:

“I just wanted to extend a huge thank you and express my appreciation for your wonderful support today at our Big Dreams Event.

Our students had a fabulous time meeting you and your colleagues, and I know they are so grateful for the time and support you offer them with events such as this.

The conversation was flowing and from the feedback I heard, their curiosity and genuine interest in your roles, your career journeys and what's out there for them in the future very much came across and enabled you to have a great time engaging with them also.

These events simply wouldn't be possible without your support.”
