WW Martin represents the South East region in the RICS National Awards 2024
Following the success of the QEQM Hospital project at the RICS Regional Awards 2024 earlier this summer, we were delighted to attend the RICS National Awards Grand Final held at the Park Plaza Riverbank hotel in London on Friday 4th October.
Despite missing out on the accolade of the National Public Sector Building Award on the night, everyone involved in the project can be rightly proud to represent the South East region in celebrating the UK’s most inspirational built projects.
The major remodelling of the QEQM Hospital was delivered in multiple phases with the team successfully managing the complex operational challenges of a live hospital over a 2 ½ year period.
Meticulous planning, project coordination, exceptional design, excellent delivery on site and fantastic teamwork ensured the uninterrupted delivery of patient care at this major East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) hospital in Margate, Kent.
Now complete, the project provides a new Emergency Department (A&E), Rapid Assessment & Treatment area, dedicated mental health facilities, a paediatric emergency department, remodelled ambulance bays, consultation/treatment rooms, and various other staff wellbeing and patient care facilities.
Thank you to everyone who worked on this project, your help and hard work has been instrumental to making it such a success, and an award winning project! Congratulations to all the winners.
