Project Award - Medway Hospital

Our works at Medway Hospital involve the demolition of two three storey buildings (blocks 14 & 15) to make way for the construction of a new car park.

Due to the large numbers of visitors at Medway Hospital, it was deemed necessary to provide additional parking facilities. The existing buildings were previously used as residential accommodation within the Hospital grounds, which were deemed no longer fit for purpose. To aid in reducing environmental impact, a initiative of re-use or recycle has been introduced wherever possible on the works - as part of this initiative, the bricks from the demolished buildings will be reclaimed and stored for future use.

One of the most important aspects of the logistics for this project is the delivery management due to its location. The site is bordered by other car parking areas all within a live Hospital environment and as such the scenarion of delivery vehicles to our site blocking the surrounding routes must be avoided.
