Project Commencement - QEQM Hospital, Margate

Our site setup is now in place and the initial phases of work has commenced as part of a major project to extend the Emergency Department and remodel many of the existing units at QEQM Hospital.

The present courtyard and existing building will be completely remodelled and extended to create a new child assessment ward and pediatric unit, an expansion of the majors and rapid response units, a mental health suite and a new staff support unit/breakout area for the hospital team.

With improvements carried out within a live hospital environment, working alongside HMY Architects, Modus and Sweco, all works will be meticulously planned to maintain the full operation of all existing hospital services.

The East Kent Hospital Trust’s vision is 'great healthcare from great people' - expansion works at the QEQM will allow the hospital to continue it's forward thinking approach in treatment and research.
