Project Completion - Canterbury Golf Club - Clubhouse

Today’s ribbon cutting ceremony held on site at Canterbury Golf Club, marked the successful completion of the excellent new facilities at the Club. Whilst the event was duly scaled back at the current time, today provided an excellent opportunity for the project team to formally handover the construction project to Club Chairman Alison Kingston and Club Captain John Shepherd on behalf of the Club.

Now complete the extension and internal refurbishments undertaken by WW Martin Ltd provide high-quality additional facilities to Canterbury Golf Club. The project has been designed and built to make best use of the space available, delivering an extension to the existing clubhouse which provides much welcome additional space.

The newly refurbished and extended space provides a large main modern and bright hospitality suite, as well as an additional smaller-sized function room, both of which can be used for a variety of uses, including business meeting hire, private functions, weddings and dining.

To compliment the works and enhance the external space, works outside have included a large new patio area which offers a lovely space to be used for food and drink outside whilst enjoying the beautiful views of the 18th Green, 1st Tee and practice putting green of the wonderful Harry Colt designed course.

Members and visitors will also now enjoy a new Pro-Shop, following the complete refurbishment and expansion to the existing shop, which will be stocked with everything a golfer could ever possibly need. Just outside the Pro-Shop is also a newly constructed Golf Buggy parking and charging area for the clubs brand new fleet of Buggy’s.

Club Chairman Alison Kingston said: We are absolutely delighted with these wonderful additions to our facilities here at Canterbury Golf Course. We know that our members and visitors will share in our delight and are very much looking forward to having the opportunity to make full use of the wonderful new spaces and facilities now available.

Roger Hyder, General Manager added: “On behalf of the Canterbury Golf Club, I would like to thank everyone that has been involved with the project and say a special thank you to the WW Martin team on site who have worked closely with the Club to deliver this high-quality project. Thank you”.
