Project Completion - Clinical Trials Unit, QEQM

Works to provide a new Clinical Trials Unit at the QEQM Hospital in Margate have been successfully handed over to our client the East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The project involved the conversion of an existing area within the large hospital site to construct and provide a new 4no. patient / bed Clinical Trials Unit. This new modern and high-tech facility includes a clinical preparation area, pathology lab, as well as research and innovation offices. It will be used to design, construct and publish clinical trials in the vital support of health care research.

A special note to highlight is that elements of the works were proudly supported by Hornby Hobbies who raised through the sale of the limited edition model Locomotive, the GBRF Class 66 “Captain Tom Moore – A True British Inspiration” in recognition of the work of NHS Staff during the Pandemic.
