Project Completion - Oscar Innovation Centre, Halling

We have successfully handed over this new building to our client Oscar Acoustics.

The state-of-the-art headquarters in Halling, Kent regenerates a derelict site which formerly housed an industrial cement works. Comprising two buildings spread over 16,200 square feet, the site provides a striking new high-quality working environment for staff alongside storage and warehousing space in the form of six light industrial business units.

The modern open plan office space includes meeting rooms, staff lounge and kitchen, all of which provide a contemporary space to work. The unique building design and internal layout has been well considered, with the building serving as an ‘innovation facility’ for potential customers, showcasing the company’s architectural acoustic products in a real-world setting.

The finished building is also highly innovative and reflects the client’s commitment to sustainability and an overarching goal of remaining carbon neutral. Extremely high specification standards have been delivered through both the design and construction process. Eco-friendly, sustainable materials and construction methods have been implemented wherever possible, including the installation of an extensive solar energy system featuring almost 80 PV panels.

The result is that the building can operate entirely on renewable energy and achieves an EPC A+ Rating, placing it above Net Zero CO2.

Commenting on the opening of the new HQ, Oscar Acoustics’ Managing Director Ben Hancock said:

“I’m absolutely delighted that we have been able to finally open the doors of the Oscar Innovation Centre. It’s fantastic to see the project drawn to a close and completed to perfection.

The opening of our new HQ space is a huge milestone for the company – a testament to our commitment to acoustic innovation as well as proof of our continued growth. This cutting-edge facility, tailored to our unique needs, will set us well on our way towards revolutionising the world of acoustics.

Our sincere thanks go out once again to Urban & Rural, the lead architect of the project, main contractor WW Martin and project management lead Ball Hall for making our vision a reality.”
