Project Completion - QEQM Hospital, Margate for the NHS
We are very proud to have completed and handed over our most recent project at the QEQM Hospital in Margate, Kent.
Following an impressive commitment to deliver the project in just 2 months, our team completed works on site on Monday 30th March to officially handover the much-needed expansion to the Emergency Department facilities at the QEQM Hospital to the East Kent NHS Hospitals Trust.
We have worked hard on site with our client, design team and supply chain partners to best maximise space at the QEQM to provide:
- 5no. fully serviced hospital bed bays,
- a new mental health consultation room, and
- a new A&E observation and treatment room.
The completion of this project comes at a critical time for the NHS team at the QEQM as these new facilities provide much needed additional hospital bed space within the Emergency Department. The new A&E care and mental health consultation and treatment facilities will also help to alleviate pressure on other space and facilities at the hospital and provide better care for patients and clients respectively.
The determination to complete the project within such a short time frame, working 7 days a week within a live hospital environment without causing any disruption to the vital A&E department and X-Ray department where these new facilities are situated is testament to the team involved.
A special mention must therefore be given to our key partners on this project who have gone over and above the call of duty to deliver this project, particularly in the last 2 weeks where the importance of maintaining social distancing in the hospital environment has been key.
