Our works at Kent College, Canterbury was for the construction of a new performing arts building consisting of an auditorium with retractable seating for the capacity of 300 in theatre mode and 600 in assembly mode.
Associated facilities including storage, dressing rooms, foyer, circulation space and toilets.
The new building, The Great Hall, provides a facility for the whole school at Kent College Canterbury to gather as one community for a variety of purposes, such as assemblies, worship, drama and musical performances.
The construction involved the groundworks, foundations, steel structure, internal and external finishes, seating, mechanical and electrical installations and landscaping.
The Great Hall is also one of Canterbury Festivals key venues, with four high profile events located there. One is a talk that will serve as the Kent College Lecture as part of the Festival. The other three are music events including Sacconi Quartet, Classico Latino with guest artist Omar Puete and The Guitar Conspiracy 7 Guitars... One Plan.
