Project Progress - Hertsmonceux Sussex
The construction of 40 new homes located off of Hailsham Road in Herstmonceaux, East Sussex to provide both private and affordable homes is progressing well.
Works to the lower level 7 units now have all the timber frames erected with the trusses on the final three being erected and the installation of the facia and soffits. Felt and battening to the first three units has also commenced.
11 units in the mid section of the works have had their brickwork completed and 9 of the scaffolds struck, leaving one pair awaiting cladding and tile hanging completion.
Internally all units are tacked and taped with the jointing being finalised to last 3 units. Second fix is underway to six of the units and final decorations to the first of the eleven.
The development will include the provision of 9 No 4 bed, 20 No 3 bed & 11 No 2 bed units with associated parking, arranged in cul-de-sacs running off a main residential road.
There will be a children's play area towards the North West of the site, with a significant tree retained to form a landscape feature within the play area and open space. Additional landscaping will also be delivered throughout the site and on the boundaries to provide an enhanced habitat and biodiversity.
