Project Progress - Sittingbourne Community College

Works are moving forward at our Sittingbourne Community College Site for the construction of a new 3 storey teaching classroom block and a 2-storey extension to the existing school.

Owing to the location of the site within the existing school premises, there is an extensive amount of student and teacher activity in the immediate area. As such all works are being carefully planned and managed on site to uphold the highest levels of Health & Safety standards whilst also minimising the disruption to the existing operation of the school.

With works progressing well on site, a key project milestone has been achieved following the delivery to site and the erection of the steel frame works now complete. Following our commitment to minimising disruption, the steel frame was delivered to site over the school holiday period and was fully assembled on site within just three weeks.

Following this work, we have now completed the installation of the Pre-Cast Concrete stairs, and the concrete pour for the in-situ concrete upper floors on the structural metal deck. The first fix of the Mechanical and Electrical work is also underway as the works to fix the roof membrane also nears completion.
