Project Progress - Folkestone College
Works are continuing to progress on site as part of the major campus redevelopment at Folkestone College for East Kent College (EKC). A significant project milestone was reached at the end of December as the concrete slab to the second floor was successfully completed to the main structure.
In the next few weeks the concrete frame will progress to completion and structural wall systems and reinforcements will be put in place to accommodate the roof slab.
When finished, the new state-of-the-art college building designed by Lee Evans Architects will provide high quality facilities for Business, Sport, Construction and Catering courses offered by EKC.
Given the location of the within the grounds of the existing campus in Folkestone, the project is particularly exciting for EKC construction students who are gaining a firsthand insight into the work and the construction process.
