Rounding off a busy careers fair season with two final events
We are very proud to have completed a very busy careers fair season with two final events: a well-attended Careers Fair at St George’s Church of England Foundation School in Broadstairs, and a mock interview day for Year 10 students at St Anselm’s Catholic School, Canterbury
This year to date has been one of our busiest, but also one of our most rewarding periods, as we are passionate about promoting careers available within the construction industry.
This includes sharing details about the various apprenticeships available, different skills and education routes available, and notably, the opportunities available through our own well-established Employment, Apprenticeship and Training Programme (EATP).
Our engagement this year has also provided us with many great opportunities to provide valuable support and learning through our Work Ready Programme. Our initiative helps provide students and young people with the key skills needed to support them in their transition from education to employment, focusing on improving their chances of success in seeking employment.
Of course, this work would not be possible without the hard work of everyone involved - our sincere thanks go to all those we have worked alongside this season for their ongoing support and shared commitment to helping young people explore their potential and plan for the future.
We are proud to work in direct partnership with a number of local schools and academy trusts, and to collaborate closely with East Kent Colleges Group and Education Business Partnership Kent to deliver these sessions.
