Staff of WW Martin again donate to the Viking Day Unit 'Donation Station' at QEQM Hospital, Margate

We were delighted to again deliver several bags of food and household goods donated by our staff to the Viking Day Unit at QEQM Hospital Margate last week.

The ‘Donation Station’ was set up by the staff of the unit after they noticed patients were struggling with their finances while going through chemotherapy treatment, with many unable to afford basic household essentials.

In a thank you letter to our staff, the Head of Nursing, Cancer Care Group said,

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the very kind food donations you have been providing to Viking Day Unit in support of the relatively new food pantry.

This is incredibly generous and it has meant so much to those staff and patients who have benefited from these food donations.

We all can’t thank you enough for your support."

We are currently on site at QEQM Hospital Margate, carrying out the final phase of an extensive refurbishment to the Emergency Department.
