Supporting Our Community: Food Bank Donation at Teynham Primary School
We are delighted to share a recent highlight from our project at Teynham Parochial Church of England Primary School, where we are working in partnership with Kent County Council (KCC) to deliver a new two-storey school to replace the existing school buildings.
Our team, who have been busy on-site this year, took the opportunity last week to spread a little festive cheer by visiting the school to contribute to the Teynham School food bank initiative.
Our Site Management team, Darren and Charles, were warmly welcomed by the school children and Headteacher, Mrs Pearson, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the contribution. She highlighted how it will help provide support to families in need within the Teynham area, particularly during this festive season.
Much like our other recent food bank donation in East Kent, our initiative at Teynham School was inspired by our pledge at the Kent Construction Expo, where we committed to donating a meal to a local food bank for every new business contact made during the event. Thank you again to everyone who visited us this year.
At WW Martin, we believe in building more than just structures — we strive to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. This donation is a small but meaningful way for us to support the local community while progressing our construction works to deliver the exciting new educational facilities on behalf of KCC.
We look forward to continuing our work on-site and further strengthening our ties with the school and the local community.
