Talented children from Teynham Primary School create designs and artwork to decorate hoardings on their school site
Children from each year group at Teynham Parochial C of E Primary School have created bright and colourful artworks to decorate the hoardings around their new school building, currently under construction by WW Martin.
Site Manager Darren Offen said, “We are so glad the children enjoyed taking part in this project to brighten up our hoardings, and we hope they’re excited to see their artwork on display.”
The children of the school are excitedly observing their new building take shape through the special low-level viewing windows on to the construction site. We are looking forward to visiting the school soon to tell the pupils more about the construction process, the equipment and materials they can see being used, and the different jobs they can see our site staff carrying out.
When complete, the new-build two-storey school at Teynham will feature 12 general teaching classrooms, two reception classrooms, one practical space, one studio / Breakfast Club space, a learning resource centre, a large general purpose hall, SEN therapy and resource spaces, medical room, general admin space, WCs and associated circulation areas together with a separate nursery, MUGA, cycle spaces, landscaping, access and parking following demolition.
