WW Martin proud to support RNLI Margate Lifeboat Station.
WW Martin Senior Site Manager, Derek Amas who has worked as a volunteer (Second Coxswain) for the RNLI for 25 years was very pleased to introduce Mike Darling and Ian Posnett, WW Martin Directors’ to the Margate Lifeboat Station crew on Sunday 29th April.
Following a tour of the Station, Ian Posnett proudly presented Kevin Andrews, Margate Lifeboat Station Coxswain with a donation cheque to help provide new overalls for the crew working on the Station.
The Leonard Kent, a Mersey class lifeboat was then launched with Mike and Ian welcomed aboard and taken to sea for a passage to Ramsgate, where they got to see first hand the excellent work of the crew.
Upon returning to Margate and disembarking, Ian Posnett praised the RNLI crew saying:
“the commitment and hard work shown by all of the crew at Margate Lifeboat Station is commendable, the passion and commitment they show in their roles is admirable and on behalf of WW Martin, I am delighted to help support their work”.
