WW Martin announce latest intake of Apprenticeships and Trainees
As a main contractor in Kent with a turnover of £36million, WW Martin has a strong and long history in the construction industry. Formed in 1877, our business which has grown considerably since this time still remains committed to our traditions.
As one of the largest employers in East Kent, aside from our focus of working closely with our clients to deliver successful projects, we have a longstanding commitment to create and promote opportunities for people to enter the construction industry.
With many of our current staff, including Ian Posnett, Director, having first started his own careers via an apprenticeship route (actually with WW Martin Ltd some 30 years ago), we have successfully helped a number of people into the industry through either a trainee or apprenticeship route in recent years.
When you consider the widely publicised point that the construction industry faces a shortage of skilled people and the challenges faced by the sector to overcome this shortage, we are determined to ensure that people are given the opportunity to enter the construction industry.
It is with delight therefore, that we can announce our latest intake of Apprenticeships and Trainees.
We welcome to the business:
Harry Darling - Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Thomas Walkom - Apprentice Carpenter
Antony Riordan - Apprentice Machinist
Jack Clemo - Apprentice Carpenter
Connor Hyde - Trainee Site Manager
Jack Connor - Apprentice Painter & Decorator
