WW Martin Charity Go-Karting Race Night a huge success!

A huge thank you to everyone that attended our WW Martin Charity Go-Karting Race Night on Wednesday – we had 22 teams battling it out at Buckmore Park Karting for a chance to be crowned winners of our inaugural fundraising event.

We are delighted to announce that thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity we raised an amazing £4216, which will go directly to Margate RNLI Lifeboat Station.

We welcomed Derek Amas, Lifeboat Operations Manager (and WW Martin Site Manager) to say a few words about the amazing Margate RNLI team and the work they do.

On presenting the prizes, Derek said

“On behalf of all my team at Margate RNLI, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the great evening and your continued support. I have an extraordinary team of people at Margate that do what they do but it’s extraordinary people like yourselves that help us to save as many people as we can by raising vital funds to ensure my crew have all the great equipment that they need to carry out their missions.”

Congratulations to Turner Jackson Day Associates who were the overall winners of the event, Liberty QS in second place and On Architecture in third. A special mention to Kent Design Studio who achieved the fastest single lap time and who would have been placed were it not for an unfortunate puncture.

We are already looking forward to next year!
