We were delighted to support our partner Ramsgate FC with a very special event this week

This week we were delighted to support our longstanding partner Ramsgate FC with a very special event, as part of their Active Education Foundation Holiday Activities and Food summer programme.

Thanks to Helix AV and RSP Manston, 130 local children were given the opportunity to enjoy a flight over Thanet in a Bell helicopter.

For the majority of the children, this was the first time they had ever experienced a flight. One seven year old girl said as she disembarked, ‘That was the best thing I have ever done – I saw the sea and London and even a cow! It was so exciting!’

Ramsgate FC’s Active Education Foundation provides health and wellbeing opportunities at a range of local venues, including the club’s WW Martin Community Stadium. The activities on offer give local children the opportunity to socialise in a safe setting throughout the holidays, while sending a positive message about the importance of health and fitness.

The Foundation recently celebrated it’s second birthday, with over 500 children enjoying this summer’s programme of activities across five sites in Thanet.
