WW Martin Sponsors Christmas Tree at Medway Maritime Hospital

We are delighted to have sponsored the main courtyard Christmas tree at Medway Maritime Hospital this year, in support of Medway NHS Foundation Trust. The tree serves as a symbol of hope and joy for patients, staff, and visitors during the festive season, and as long-term construction partners to the hospital we are proud to contribute to such a meaningful initiative.

The official opening ceremony was a heartwarming occasion, with a wonderful performance from Greenacre Academy and Walderslade Girls’ School choir. Their singing filled the hospital with festive cheer and brought smiles to everyone in attendance. The lights were switched on by a group of children who attend the hospital's on-site nursery Tiny Tugs.

Jayne Black, Chief Executive of Medway NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“I would like to particularly thank our youngest guests, who did such a brilliant job of turning on the lights and the local students who sang in the choir.
“I would also like to thank our local partners for their generous tree donations to their local hospital this year, and to all those, behind the scenes, who work to make our annual Christmas tree lights switch-on such a special occasion.”

At WW Martin, we are committed to supporting our local communities and the incredible work of the NHS. We extend our thanks to the hospital staff and the talented young singers for making the event so memorable.
