​WW Martin Staff Volunteering Team focuses on environmental initiative

Following our recent announcement that we have commenced work on two new school projects in Kent for Kent County Council, members of our team from each of these projects signed up as WW Martin Community Volunteers this month to carry out a beach clean in Thanet.

On a very sunny and warm day, our volunteers armed themselves with gloves and litter pickers, working hard together to clean a 5km stretch of coast between Ramsgate and Broadstairs. Over the course of the afternoon, several bags of waste and rubbish were collected from the beach and promenade.

Given how important the need to protect the environment around us is, this month’s volunteering day provided us with a great opportunity to support the Thanet Coast Project charity, who works with local people and businesses to enhance the local environment and safeguard wildlife and coastlines in Kent.
