Description

The new building forms part of the roadside site servicing facilities that many people stop in the area to use, located just off of the busy A299 near the former Manston Airport.

The works comprised of the construction of a new standalone unit with a total gross internal area of approximately 1,800 sq ft, 31 car parking spaces and bicycle spaces, associated external works, drainage, site lighting and landscaping.

Although the design followed the standard Costa model, certain elements had been amended to ensure the building fitted in with its surroundings, with materials chosen to integrate the building into the rural location whilst still maintaining the Costa Drive thru image.

The new development has generated tangible benefits such as enhancing the services already on offer, supporting the vitality and function of the wider site and generating jobs for the local and wider area.
