Description

Following our successful appointment by Medway Council last year, we were very pleased to deliver the construction of this new one form entry (FE) Primary School.

The new building, built using a steel-frame system, has been delivered within the grounds of the Hundred of Hoo Academy, in Hoo St Werburgh and is located to the west of the existing secondary school in the same location.

We worked closely with HMY Architects to deliver this excellent new school in accordance with BIM Level 2 - the first new school project to delivered by Medway Council utilising BIM. The project will be used as a benchmark for future projects on how best to deliver similar works in Medway in accordance with the BIM requirements.

The completed school has an 'L' shaped footprint, designed to allow for efficient connectivity between the new facilities, which include a new entrance/administration area, main hall, classrooms and shared teaching resource space and a large multi-use games area.

Now complete and fully open, the new school offers nursery places, reception places and approximately 180 infant and junior places.
