Description

Mascalls Academy (formerly Mascalls School) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Paddock Wood in Kent.

Spread over two phases of development, WW Martin Ltd was appointed to undertake both construction and refurbishment works for the school.

The first phase included a new eight-classroom block building built with a link to the existing building, as well as a new car park.

The second phase saw a refurbishment of 'Block A', originally built in 1956. External walls were demolished, new partitions erected and new M&E services were installed.

Detailed logistics plans and stringent health and safety processes were successfully implemented for this project to avoid disruption and to ensure the safety of the academy's students, staff and the surrounding community during the delivery stage.
