Description

The works at King Street were delivered as a Design & Build contract, providing 18 new homes in an established area of Ramsgate close to the town centre.

Previously a disused garage site which suffered from vandalism and fly-tipping, the transformed site features a striking new four-storey building consisting of 14 flats fronting King Street, and four two-bedroom mews-style homes located to the rear.

The project was sensitively designed and built to maximise the space available, whilst also carefully considering the proximity of neighbouring properties adjoining the site. A communal garden was provided for the use of the flats' residents, and private gardens to each of the new houses.

With each of the new properties now fully occupied, the new homes provide high-quality affordable housing in a central location with excellent connectivity to the town centre. This project marks the completion of Phase 3 of Thanet District Council's Housing Regeneration Strategy.
