Description

Constructed by our Special Projects team, this innovative scheme has introduced six wildlife towers across an English winery estate, creating nesting and hibernation spaces for diverse wildlife.

Crafted from hand-dug flint from the estate’s vineyards, along with reclaimed bricks and Kent peg tiles salvaged on-site, the towers blend seamlessly into their picturesque surroundings. Oak-framed roofs and doors were produced in-house by our skilled carpenters.

Designed to support a wide variety of species, each tower features internal nesting boxes: warm boxes on the south side encourage nesting and breeding, while cooler boxes on the north side are suited for hibernation. Specific nesting spaces cater to kestrels, barn owls, little owls, and bats.

Additional niches between the flint are left open for butterflies, insects, and bees to nest, with some towers housing beehives to enhance local pollination efforts.
