Description

We are currently on site at Maidstone Hospital carrying out a major multi-phase refurbishment of the existing Stroke Unit, to provide extensive additional bed facilities and upgraded support spaces.

Both Phases 1 and 2 of the work have been completed with all works successfully managed within the live and busy hospital site.

Extensive works to significantly enlarge and upgrade the acute assessment bed bay areas and associated support spaces within the Stroke Unit have been delivered, including the installation and provision of new medical gas supplies, a nurse call system, and high-tech air handling units.

Other major improvements have been made to the inpatient and day patient ward areas, assessment areas, clinic / consultant rooms and support spaces. This includes upgrades to administration offices and staff areas, a respiratory patient treatment room, and a new physiotherapy gym.

Phase 3 will see all other works to refurbish the central area, various ancillary spaces and all remaining treatment rooms of the Stroke Unit complete and fully operational in spring 2024.
