Description

Following the successful attainment of planning permission to extend the Age UK Centre at Herne Bay, we were very pleased to undertake the construction works on behalf of Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable.

Following our appointment in July 2020, construction works to deliver the extensive new facilities for Age UK are now complete.

The striking new facilities, designed by Clague Architects, were successfully handed over by our team at the end of May 2021 to provide Age UK with much-needed new facilities at their existing site. The completion of the project is very timely and is vital to Age UK in helping them to meet the increasing needs of local older people in Herne Bay and Whitstable.

The new building provides additional day care facilities and further office accommodation available for rent to local charities and community groups, the revenue from which contributes to support the running of the Charity.

The additional space is supported by the provision of new parking facilities, providing welcome new spaces to the existing car park and adding external landscaping.
