Description

We delivered refurbishment works to a dedicated breast screening unit at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, on behalf of Medway NHS Foundation Trust.

The project was delivered through three key phases, enabling careful planning and sequencing to meet clinical requirements throughout the programme.

Works included the internal strip-out and reconfiguration of existing accommodation to form new clinical imaging rooms, a dedicated patient recovery bay, and associated support spaces. This involved the installation of new partition systems, suspended ceilings, specialist wall finishes and clinical-grade floor coverings.

Mechanical and electrical upgrades formed part of the works, including alterations to existing ventilation systems, alongside associated builders’ works to support the installation and integration of specialist equipment.

The refurbished unit provides an improved clinical environment that supports efficient screening operations and reflects our experience in delivering technically detailed healthcare refurbishment projects.
