Description

Chantry Community Academy was previously a 2-form entry Primary School, located to the northern edge of Gravesend town centre, approximately 300m to the south of the Thames Estuary.

The original school dated back to the 1930s and due to the age and design of the buildings, they were deemed no longer able to meet the standards required for a modern teaching facility.

We were appointed by the ESFA to deliver Design & Build works for a modern new school able to facilitate the provision of education in accordance with the school’s needs relating to curriculum whilst also accommodating an increase in pupil numbers, and to provide the space for use by the wider community.

Working with OSG Architecture, the design of the new school has enabled it to accommodate 420 primary pupils, increasing the schools previous capacity from one form entry to two, with provision also for 26 nursery places.
