Our Special Projects Team have completed the ‘Link Works - Phase A’ project together with our sister company WWM Civils for our client Folkestone Harbour (GP) Ltd.

The works included refurbishments and alterations to improve public access to the former station and platform areas including the level crossing on South Quay, Signal Box, Harbour Masters House, Platforms 1, 2 and 3 and the Upper Harbour Arm.

Works involved sandblasting and preparing the existing platform metalwork to be repaired and repainted. It also involved removing the existing asphalt / tarmac surfaces before reinstating with a new finished surface.

To ensure the successful completion of the metalworks redecoration, we worked in close partnership with an appointed client supervisor responsible for overseeing all works and finished standards required within a marine environment.

During the delivery of this contract, additional works were incorporated. We worked closely with the relevant member of the client's team to programme and progress with works in a time-efficient manner, so that the works could be complete with little impact to the programme.
