This construction of a three-form entry primary school project for Kent County Council has provided much needed extra space to Iwade Primary School.
The original popular two-form entry school opened its doors in September 2015 as a new three-form entry school, and quickly became oversubscribed. The expansion works involved the construction of a two-storey extension which links to the existing school to provide eight additional classrooms.
The school’s new teaching facilities have allowed the school to admit an extra 30 children each academic year, increasing the school’s total capacity to 630 places from 420.
With the increase in the number of pupils to the school, construction work also included the provision of a new access via School Lane, car parking, and hard and soft landscaping.
