Description

New Horizons Children’s Academy is a new primary school in Medway, part of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust.

Appointed by Medway Council, our work on site involved the complete refurbishment and part rebuild of the original grammar school (BORA) into a new three-form-entry primary school.

The external fabric of the building was completely replaced with insulated, rendered facades, timber cladding and double-sealed composite windows, to create a bright and transparent interior for its 4 to 11-year-old students.

The completed school has capacity for more than 600 children from nursery through to Year Six, making it one of the biggest primary schools in the local area.

The significance of the project was recognised at the opening event, when the newly converted Primary School was formally opened by the Secretary of State for Education, the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP.
